Walter Converse

Democratic Candidate for County Surveyor

Walter Converse

Here is a young man of excellent qualifications, born and reared in Madison county, who aspires to a position to which he will do honor. He was born in Canaan township, May 29, 1878. Educated, first in the district school and graduated at the first County Boxwell Commencement. Afterward he attended the Plain City High School, where he was in turn graduated in 1895. After attending the Ohio State University for several years he acquired the B.A. degree, graduating in the class of 1899. He has since devoted himself to farming, quite extensively, handling over 500 acres of the Converse land. Although not a politician in the sense of an office seeker, yet he has kept up an interest in politics. He has served as township clerk of Canaan, succeeding Chas. Butt to that office. Mr. Converse is a bright young man, of excellent habits and clean character. He is the kind of man which Madison county needs for this important office.
